It s a common mistake for campers to extend their rv awning out too far to the point where water would collect on the awning itself. If this happens and it does happen to rain it will likely stretch the canvas and make it difficult for you to now retract the awning. This model has a sensitivity setting 3 different settings low medium and high if it is set on high then it will take more motion for it to close the lower it s set the more sensitive it is to motion.
