They should be perpendicular to the walls or rails.
Carefree awning won t retract.
It s a common mistake for campers to extend their rv awning out too far to the point where water would collect on the awning itself.
If this happens and it does happen to rain it will likely stretch the canvas and make it difficult for you to now retract the awning.
August 12 2015 03 08 21 pm probably no help but on my coach with the same awning the power connections are available in a cabinet on the wall where the awning is.
There is not much you can do in this case other than replacing the fabric.
The canvas will buckle and put too much tension on the motor.
If the auto retract is on and the wind picks up speed the awning will close automatically.

Also the arms need to be parallel to each other.
This model has a sensitivity setting 3 different settings low medium and high if it is set on high then it will take more motion for it to close the lower it s set the more sensitive it is to motion.
