What clothes would allow me to go down a slide and build up the least amount of static possible.
Hi i am waiting for my pc parts to come from newegg in about two days and i was wondering if i could build it on non shaggy carpet just flat i have an anti static wrist strap and i am also wondering what do i connect the clip too i heard that i connect my power supply to the wall but make sure.
When building my pc do i keep the power into the wall outlet but with the psu turned of or do i take it out of the power completely putting the pc on the floor while using an esd wristrap.

I have had my pc on carpet for two years and had no problems.
Carpet generates a lot of static from people walking on it.
The floor being carpet i will sit on.
Rich edmonds windows central.
I mean i wouldn t recommend doing that but honestly all you really have to do is touch.
Even the first computer i got to post i build sitting on my wool carpet in my pajamas.
