What clothes would allow me to go down a slide and build up the least amount of static possible. When building my pc do i keep the power into the wall outlet but with the psu turned of or do i take it out of the power completely putting the pc on the floor while using an esd wristrap. Plug the psu into a power socket to ground the pc. Obviously it s bad if you have fans sucking. It s generally not a good idea to put a pc tower directly on carpet for three reasons. Heck i built my first computers on carpet.
